- 📒 Passport should have at least six(6) months of validity.

- 💳 Credit/Debit Card for online payment of visa fees
- 📧 An email address where you will receive your ETA confirmation,
Sri Lanka ETA process
Steps to apply for Sri Lanka ETA for Australia citizens are very straightforward.
- Open Sri Lanka ETA official Website
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Choose the purpose of applying for the visa (Tourist, Business, Transit) and for whom you are applying
- Fill in your details and proceed with payment.
- You will receive your confirmation of ETA immediately at your email address.
- Carry the ETA confirmation along with the return flight ticket on arrival
Note: ETA application process is the same for Tourist, Business, and Transit visas. You might be asked for additional documents if traveling on a business visa.
Sri Lanka visa fees and processing
Sri Lanka visa Fee for Australia passport holders is US$ 35 for tourists and US$ 40 for the business traveler. Sri Lanka tourist visa is valid for double entry and a maximum of 30 days, while the business visa is valid for multiple entries and 30 days.
Transit visa is free for all travelers and is valid for 2 days. If you are transiting with Sri Lankan airlines and flights are on a single PNR, then they will provide you a free hotel stay during your layover.
Children below the age of 12 years do not have to pay any visa fee.

Sri Lanka visa Extension
Citizens of Australia can apply for Sri Lanka Visa extension, and it will grant for valid reasons. Sri Lanka Visa extension is possible for up to 2 months, and on presenting the following documents
- Sri Lanka Tourist Visa Extension Application Form
- Return Air Ticket
- Hotel Booking (Address and phone number)
- Passport Size photo to paste it on the Application form
Important Tips
👉 If you are traveling in a group, you can apply for all group members in one application and pay for all in one go. This way saves you a lot of time.
👉 ETA application fees have been waived off for children below 12 years.
